Looking backward makes everyone an expert. What matters is what happens going forward. You comment is really sort of silly as ETP is not going to move until they announce DCF/earnings. Given ETPs history of not making estimates investors and analyists want to see some real results.
Going forward it will be interesting to see what ACMP does. The problem now is it has been run up on the forward news. Any hint of a problem - like the NGL price problem that all the midstreamers have today - and ACMP will be beaten up. Again on a rally it will go up fast and hard. ETP is a very different animal - there is little downside due to the yield and lots of upside in projects that are being completed. ACMP is sort of where ETP was a bit over a year ago except everyone is betting or already bet on it, while everyone bet against ETP.
Since ETP issued its last units they have completed the acquisition of SUN awith its SXL assets. It has also put into service in DECEMBER the following projects - BV Frac - $390M, Karnes - $210M, Justice Pipeline - $365M, and West Texas Gateway $917 (70% ETP owned). Would think come April that will make a big difference.
Happy & safe 2013. ARB
That was a good an well thought out post. Thanks.
I have help ETP for a while now and it is hard to have
patience. It runs up and drops right back down.
ACMP has done much better for me. I also like the insider
