I have been in and out of APU for more than 10 yrs. Have almost always made some money when counting the dividends. Last time averaged down to 21 and change, and sold at 35 +. it went to 50 + but like Cramer says never look back when you make money.I'm back in at 41 on the last pullback and I feel pretty good about it again. Can't wait for the dividends.
I can't disagree with anyone who wants to make money. In fact, I like money too. There are a few problems I have, as far as dividends go. Number one is how Amerigas gets their money to pay....and how do they pay $3.05 dividend when they only made $2.30 a share the trailing 12 months.(see the alpha report on 11 stocks) Listen to their 1st quater earnings announcement on Wed. Maybe they will also tell you about the 30 million they are behind in January alone. Dedt can continue to pile on and I just wonder how long they can sustain. Yes, you talked about the ups and downs...If you can afford the ride, then I guess its OK. Just would love to know how much you could really make if they were better managed. Remember, they spent over 35 million in class action suits in recent years.
Just think Big U, if you would have bought APU a week agao, as I did, you would be up almost $3 plus the raise in the dividend, you would be making money. Too much talk, pull the trigger when APU is under $41 a share. (investyourbuck)
