I came into my BBT stock when they bought out our local Farmers and Merchants bank here in WV. Now that they are running things, they've cut the hours they're open to 4:30 and open at 8:00. On saturday's now they only have drive up access. With the new hours there is literally no way I can get to my saftey deposit box unless I take a day off work. They're charging me rent for something I can't get to. I'll keep my stock, but not my account. A former customer...
Lets assume for a minute that Banker45 is really a disgruntled customer and correct about the state of affairs in North GA. Well, does anyone think that any company with a "franchise" in hundreds of communities accross the Southeast isn't going to flop in a few of them? It could be true. However, one thing we do know is that the management in that area would be replaced in record time if the numbers were not being met.
With that said, I doubt Banker45 speaks for many high-net-worth individuals.
I agree with BBTFan on this one. Sounds like somebody is getting hurt by the recent run-up and looking for a way to erode confidence.
I also agree with Stock, we should ignore bait like this and keep our eyes on the real rabbit.
selling a little...keeping a lot.
Maybe the recent enjoyable run-up caused a short squeeze. Maybe N. Ga. is different from the rest of the world. Granted that we humans do make mistakes, but my 30 years experience as a customer & shareholder is that they didn't get where they are being stupid about customers, employees, or the communities served & small banks don't sell out because they're doing everything right.
Give Banker a break. He has every right to his opinion without being personally attacked. I hope BB&T management doesn't respond to concerns in this manner. The only way to truly improve is to honestly assess situations. Even when it hurts.
I cant believe people like you RWMGN ! They are some people out their that wished they had 100 dollars to deposit. Pricks and bankers like you are why the U.S and these people have to bail out banks like this that have this type of attitude. (no concern or value to the customers money). Just wait you will be crying to mommy when BBT folds in this area. TA TA!
I have a suggestion for you Banker4us! Take the big leap, scamper off on your tricycle to another bank with your $100.00 deposit, then come back in a year and tell us how you were treated as a valued customer. Ta Ta!
