On page 24 of the proxy statement, notice that for 2003, Allison received a 5% raise, Williamson 4.8%. Those seem pretty reasonable, even though employee raises averaged 3.5%. But look at the rest!!! King, 14%; Chalk, 15%; Reed, 15%; and Greene, 14%. And even though they did forgo their bonuses for 2003, salary was good and they certainly boosted their take of stock options. The fat get fatter. I know they think we regular employees should be grateful we got the avg. 1%. How generous!!
Its been said many times before: the rich get richer and the poor get poorer; the big boys take care of the big boys; money goes to money; raises go to the bosses, not the producers; etc and etc. As Walter said many times; and that's the way it is.
