Someone help me out - here, (stock, 'Tilla, Fan?) How exactly can you draw a line from short term interest hikes to the balance sheet? (some for education, some for more telligent postin....) and thereby a hopeful positive adjustment on that impact, and how long do you think it will take to do so?
There may be some improvement in Net Interst Margin in the near term, but competing on Rate is very hard to do in today's world. Non-interest income is the key as long as it can be produced at a reasonable cost. Long-term that is where BBT brings home the bacon. Fee and income from services and processing those accounts in a efficient manner.
