I just hope that this never happens to you. If you have never been through it or had a really good friend go through the process you can not even imagine what a difficult thing it is to deal with whatever the circumstances.
Regardless of whose is at fault I feel for the guy and if it happened to you, I'd feel the same for you.
Jim, I've been laid-off and bought out, but I just pick myself up and move on, instead of whining about it and bashing my previous employer. And you know what? I'm much better off than I was. Each time, I've moved up the ladder, received better pay, and overall felt better about the work I've been doing. My advice....get off the self-pity and do something constructive and you'll probably feel better.
