Sounds to me like injustice. CEO earned $7.5+ million dollars in salary, bonuses and perks last year while the pps goes down 71.5%. Doesn't sound fair. We the little people always come out on the short end and we never complain.
Executives execute plans and implement goal setting standards that all should be impressed with at the corporate level. Employees are only expected to perform a certain amount of menial tasks to accomplish our goals. However, it is the exceptional executives that are paid to execute the plan and produce the results through brain power and influence and sometimes a little intimidation.
No matter how you look at it there is a big difference between the classes. Executives are entitled to get as much as they can, when they can, while the going is good. They have delivered what the street was expecting….RESULTS quarter after quarter of record results. Keep your noses to the grindstone and they will succeed.
Salary increases and performance based incentives should be based on value of shares not comparison as to how bad everyone else is doing. BBT employees, management, board and executive management are supposed to be working for shareholders.
