    • If you're referring to the jobs data released Friday, it's obvious that the weather was a major factor in prior months hiring. Retail sales in March were very good, yet retail employment (seasonally adjusted) dropped over 30k for the month. What's important is the first quarter 2012 job creation - 648k private sector jobs, up at an annualized rate of 2.4%. Not bad considering construction is still at the bottom and resulted in around 6 million lost jobs.

H.8 Fed report for 3/28/12 showed ALL continued to drop - down about 4% for the quarter so loan quality continues to improved. Loans were up slightly for the quarter with c&i, residential mortgages, auto and cre positive while credit cards, heloc and specialized lending negative.

The economy is doing ok and is healing. Virtually all the indicators show this. I think bbt is doing well. The bank is gaining market share.

You're entitled to your opinion. I think you're grasping for straws. I don't see any facts supporting your opinion. Your man over at ecrii is a clown. He even makes the republican candidates appear somewhat credible - even though they have done their absolute best to alienate the female electorate and destroy the republican brand.

      • Norm, I found some equally useless facts that might assist in your valuing this stock: American Airlines saved $40,000 in 1987 by eliminating one olive from each salad served in first class. During the California Gold Rush of 1849 miners sent their laundry to Honolulu for washing and pressing. Due to the high costs in California during these years it was deemed more feasible to send the shirts to Hawaii for servicing.
The numbers '172' can be found on the back of the U.S. $5 dollar bill in the bushes at the base of the Lincoln Memorial. There are four cars and eleven lightposts on the back of a $10 dollar bill. If you drop a penny off of the Empire State Building, it will be going 106 miles per hour (terminal velocity) when it reaches the ground. Something moving this fast may actually cause head injuries if it lands on you. Michael Jordan makes more money from Nike annually than all of the Nike factory workers in Malaysia combined.
There are 293 ways to make change for a dollar. 26 (easily visible, there may be more) states are listed across the top of the Lincoln Memorial on the back of the old US $5 bill.
A dime has 118 ridges around the edge. The hole inside a CD is exactly the same size as an old Dutch 10 cent coin, called the "dubbeltje". (?!) Of course, all the European countries (save a few) have gone euro now.

There, now with all that important downloaded information from the is obvious BB&T is great.
