BB&T management obviously stubbed its toe. I do not know how much BB&T can address this issue in the media and internally so my criticism may be without merit. However, it seems to me the PR area and management has managed this situation poorly in terms of mitigating public perception of the brand. Imagine being paired with Ally in such a negative light but doing nothing to assure stockholders and employees. But then I am not at all impressed with the signals this management group is sending in general.
