Does any shareholder know who pays for the head guy and his wife to fly on his corporate jet every week from New York to Birmingham the (home office)??? The company is only a 91 million market cap. Why can't they live in Alabama? Are they the Donald Trump's of the book stores? You're kidding me right? A book store guy and his wife has to fly weekly from New York to Birmingham. Does anyone know his vision to compete with the e books? During a tough economy, those expenses will add up, the key to this stock is watch for future store closings, not the sell of his corporate jet.
Where do you come across info that, "head guy and his wife to fly on his corporate jet every week from New York to Birmingham the (home office"
It is a bit odd that you come across this statement in an article and it doesn't provide an explanation why they fly weekly. Furthermore, if it is a corporate jet, by definition, it's likely the corporation is paying the expenses, no?
Sure sign of a CEO who has other priorities than being a good fiduciary to the shareholders...check the proxy statement it should include something about use of corporate jet for personal use. One of the worst investments I've ever made was with a small retailer with a CEO who felt he needed a company paid helicopter to commute to work.
