    Mix your own OMS302...

...just place your order with Henry Schein for:

    Ketorolac Opthalmicalmic Solution 0.5% 5mL/Bt (1144423) Caraco Pharm (41616022090) 1 @ $9.30

    Phenylephrine Opthalmic Sol 10% 5ml (7076894) Akorn,Inc. (17478020510) 1 @ $6.57

...now Linda Moussatos would have you believe that gOMER is going to mix these and charge $275 per surgery...even though ketorolac is a 25 YEAR old drug and phenylephrine(aka neosynephrine, aka sudafed) is upwards 75 years old and that both have better alternatives -- eg nepafenac for ketorolac and just about anything for phenylephrine...

...but if you don't feel comfortable mixing it yourself, you could just use Akorn's "paremyd" -- an 80 year old mixture which costs only $23 for 15 cc at Schein....

...by why even bother with a mixture?...indeed, postoperatively you're going to put the patient on something like nepafenac or ketorolac drops to treat pain and prevent swelling and inflammation...use the bottles separately and let the patient have the NSAID bottle to take home with them?...seems reasonable and more cost-effective -- wouldn't you agree?...

...and isn't it funny how surgeons managed all these years to perform who knows how many millions of eye surgeries using these various eyedrops and WITHOUT using gOMER juice?...
