There are many ways to analyze a company. Most financials and bank stocks in particular trade on arnings and book value per share. Bank stocks trade at a multipleof Tangible book value becasue tangible book value is the exact amount of capital per share a bank owns excluding good will and other non material assets. FNG has $5.59 in tangible book value per share down from roughly $7;35 prior to the HSBC merger. Most banks trade at 1.5 to 2x tangible book value. AT 1.5 x $5.59 you get $8.40 stock. That is the true value of FNFG until they build capital and book value.
