SOFTWARE IBM consolidation means Austin job cuts IBM Corp. cut about 50 Austin marketing and support jobs Wednesday as part of a consolidation of its software group. A company spokesman said the layoffs affected less than 1 percent of IBM's 6,400-person Austin work force. "It's part of what we continually do to rebalance skills and reduce redundancies," spokesman Lon Levitan said. He said laid-off employees will have 30 days to find other jobs within IBM. Those who don't find IBM jobs will receive career counseling and severance pay, Levitan said.
Hey, Do you remember, the same IBM executives Rats told pre-paid congress that they can not find computer engineers! Waikup engineers watch your house is on fire. Do not listen these corrupt wallStreet pimps.
