Halcon Resources Looking for the Utica to move production and reserves north - Wunderlich
Wunderlich notes HK has been under pressure in the stock market of late following its secondary earlier this month; however, they believe that the co is just beginning to hit its stride operationally and they look for strong value drivers to reverse this trend in the coming months and years. Strong cost reductions and production improvements in the Williston, increased activity at El Halcon, and improvements in the Utica should all lead to positive data points while further exploration in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale and other regions could create new plays for future development. The financial position is also stable and should allow for Halcon to hit its growth initiatives with additional liquidity coming in the form of asset sales; $10 tgt.
