Y'all need to cool it with the buy recomendations...many have been saying that since the start of the year and it's gone nowhere but down. I'm long hk at 4.86, however I won't be buying and wouldn't recomend buying more right now, this company is not doing too well right now and there is likely more downside on the horizon, how much, I don't know but they have assets of 5.5B and long term debt of 3 petrohawk had long term debt of about 2.2B in 2008 with 7B in assets...Halcon's assets have grown much faster than petrohawks, however so has the debt, something is not quite adding up right now, which is y I urge you not to focus too much on the earnings being that they can be manipulated
This guys is playing with you guys... on HK board he says no more HK buying, on SD board he says he will be buying more HK. just 12 mins apart. I don't actually believe it is him.

Whatever happened to the intelligent investor
Kid posted non stop when classes were in session. Now it's winter break and he has all kinds of time but he doesn't post. I bet he ran off with the old man.

3.66 gpa on the semester and 3.46 cumulative...
I ran off to my job to make some money this break to help eat up some of my loss in hk when I buy more actually
New member since 1/04/2014 with 4 posts and you say your in at 4.86? Bullship punk! Your wet behind da ears and don't own HK. Just a soft bash attempt. Gotta grow some hair on your pair before you come out here and thrown junk!
I use to have two other aliases before I deleted them one preceding the other.... Intelligentinvestor92 and then intelligentinvestor93. My average is 4.86 with about 13100 in the game. I'm not bashing, I'm informing of the facts not opinions. You are quite mistaken.
Absolutely, however what quantitative evidence can you show to prove it is currently undervalued and that you are currently buying low? If you look out into the future, then you could conclude it is currently cheap, however then yet again, I have to ask you how are we going to get "there"? The company has a funding gap and likely will for 2015 as well. So they will either need to cut capes which will likely cut production and growth for that matter at least modestly further cutting future cash flow which would mean this company is quite possibly cheap for a reason right now. There are a lot of issues to be addressed. If they can't grow fast enough, the debt will kill them.
