    Las Vegas and Danvers, Mass. (May 9, 2012) – Extending its offerings of sustainable lighting solutions, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is pleased to showcase the QUICKTRONIC® ICETRON® 100W Dimming System and the new ICETRON 200W system at this year’s LIGHTFAIR International Tradeshow and Conference.

    Recognizing the need for further control for outdoor lighting systems, OSRAM SYLVANIA designed the QUICKTRONIC ICETRON 100W Dimming ballast to provide increased flexibility and control for its SYLVANIA ICETRON fluorescent induction system, an incredibly efficient lighting solution with an extra long rated lamp life of up to 100,000 hours. The QUICKTRONIC ICETRON 100W system offers two modes of dimming functionality – continuous dimming and step dimming – and can be controlled in the 100 to 40 percent power range. The new SYLVANIA QUICKTRONIC ICE ballast allows increased energy savings compared to traditional power sources and eliminates the need for additional surge protection.

    Other benefits of the QUICKTRONIC ICETRON 100W Dimming System include reduced ballast weight, quiet operation and instant-on/instant re-strike, eliminating any delay when powering up the system. The electronic ballast is UL Type 2 wet location listed, RoHS compliant and offers IEEE/ANSI C62.41 CAT.3 (C) line transient protection. UL, CSA and FCC listed, the QUICKTRONIC ICETRON 100W Dimming System also features OSRAM SYLVANIA’s QUICK60+® System Limited Warranty.

    The new 200W ICETRON lamps were designed for controllable, higher light output applications that demand the extra-long lamp life provided by SYLVANIA induction technology. As with all ICETRON lamps, the 200W product is available in three color temperatures: 3500K, 4100K and 5000K.
