EPD paid on the 5th.
TD credits as of the date the dividend is paid EXCEPT for companies on the exception list where the account is reinvesting the dividend. These include any company that offers a discount if the dividend/distribution goes through the paying agent (Mellon bank for EPD). These usually take 2 or 3 days and can take up to 10 days on ADRs.
Suggest you call TD if you don't believe me.
For EPD: TD is going through Mellon bank who is the transfer agent. TD dividends/distributions are lumped together for all account holders. Mellon Bank then gives the discount and issues the shares to TD and they then spead the shares to the account holders. This normally takes 3 to 5 days. The good part is you get the discount. The bad part is it takes a few days.
I am new with TD and called them to ask. On other dividends they reinvest using a market order at the open on the day after receipt of $$.
My IRA is set-up for DRIP's and has always been slow to credit the divendend. Reason given by TD is Company's brooker has not done the transfer. However in my other account (A ROTH IRA)the cash dividends come in faster.
