and in my opinion, this is all very scary stuff.
No reason for the pop means no reason why it wont tank. I would feel much better if I had some legitimate news.
You have Hedgies buying the preferred
You have Hedgies lobbying Congress to release the preferred shares back to the public
You have Ralph Nader fighting to get it relisted
You have money flows that are incredible
You have the private sectore now whining that they are being kept out of the game (must be something to it)
You have successful lawsuits pumping billions into the the company
You have a tax scenario that will potentially add billions more if the people running the show decided to exercise it
You have a housing recovery going on
You have an insurance market that the private sector cannot possibly handle all the insurance like Fannie
You have speculators jumping on board the bandwagon
You have congressmen trying to pass bills that will phase out Fannie and Freddie which will never happen while this thing is making incredible money - the sponsors cannot get anywhere near enough cosigners on the bill
You have Fannie raising insurance premiums that were supposedly done to allow the privates to compete but all it did was pump billions more into the company because the privates are still gun shy in writing these policies
You have a company that is making more money than Apple
You have better odds here than the lottery
You have better odds than Vegas
You have to be out of you rmind if you don't enjoy the ride
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?
You have all these reasons you seem to love but there has not been one mention of any of your reason by an analyst, brokerage, investment bank or the media. Nothing. So all your reasons add up to nothing more than the reality of a OTC Pump and dump play. I've heard guys like you a million times on other P7D plays and those plays are gone from memory they are squat.
It is all about valuations. As home prices rise so does the asset values of FNMA. Just to get to book value FNMA would need to trade over $16.00 a share, so if you look at just value there is $12.00 negative to book.
There was no rational reason for it to go down as far as it did. Now it is on its way back up to former levels. Fannie is in the top 30 of the Forbes 500 for good reason and her and her brother are big enough to continue taking market share from the competition. There has been so much news in the last 2 months I dont know how you could have missed it all. Buy into the strength with confidence.
You sounded like a policy maker.
Don't try to sound too philosophical. You are not that important.
If you wait for the reason to be spelled out to you, you've missed the boat!!!
Watch and learn.
