Luck me, the company I work for is going to outsource it's IT functions to CSC. I've heard that CSC usually hires the current staff. What else should we expect?
As a joke, we'd like to start wearing CSC shirts. Anyone know how we can buy them? The company store only sells to employees.
No because we leave it to the people who know how to do it better and cheaper. We're not ignorant enough to believe we're the best at everything, unlike some nations in the world. Mentioning no names.......
I too seem to be doing very well in the states which is more than can be said for you locals. How many doctor appointments do you guys need a year? Do doctors only make appointments on Fridays and do they always take all day? No wonder you are all confused about life!
I agree w/ clhughesuk. I have met some extremely intelligent individuals at CSC. Their knowledge of new technologies (whether or not they are implemented is another topic)is better than any other company I have worked for, or been associated with in anyway. Managements lack of understanding of basic fundementals is truly eye-opening.
I once gave the analogy to a group of CSC management : I take 5 different paths to work each morning. Some are longer than others, and my rate of speed is also different (longer routes have faster rates). Logic would dictate whichever route gets me to work in the shortest amount of time, regardless of miles, is the best bet. That's MY job as a technician. BUT management's job is to give advice on the HUMAN element (everyone will take the quickest way logically, so choose a different path). My management lacks this thought process, ergo, my group fails. We have the techs, we dont have the management.
