Cellulosic ethanol is nearer than you think?

You are right. A single plant will not be enough. but a few comments:
1- cellulosic technology as installed in Oregon is an ADDED process step to yield 10% from the same corn and / or take in a different feed.
2- Back in the plannig phase ( 1Q08), the statement was made that this could be replicated in other PEIX plants.

Now, would you know it? If the pilot is a success, and with stimulus funds, other plants can be modified!!

    • This is a good one. I hear Obama has set aside funds for building renewable energy infrastructure and ecosystem. So far, I know it's in the form of tax rebates for people installing solar panels.

I will go find out if portions of the funds is allocated for ethanol.
