Clearly I wasn't talking about Accounting and Financial Statements. When I speak of the next Starbucks, I speak of Panera in the Operational sense.....
A) Very accessible outlets B) High traffic locations C) Quality product with recognizable brand and image. D) Fresh Food Fast (2003 Buzz-Phrase) E) Good average basket size F) Low Overhead G) Room to expand
Yeah, sounds like a big problem to me. I gotta tell you buddy, this thing is a winner. I wish I'd been smart enough to smell SBUX after the first 2:1 split in '94. I'm not missing the boat this time.
You actually came to the same conclusion (regarding Starbucks) as I did approximately 2 years ago. Just never thought the Mighty Mo'Momentum idiots would have taken it this far!!
"I gotta tell you buddy, this thing is a winner. I wish I'd been smart enough to smell SBUX after the first 2:1 split in '94. I'm not missing the boat this time."
-- Your statement is both fascinating and loaded (IMHO). Most undisciplined investors tend to project past returns on to future ones. The 'pain of regret' at missing SBUX the first time just may thus allow you to participate in your 'Stalingrad.' Not saying it WILL mind you (since I also think PNRA runs a good operation), but the ODDS definitely point that way. The key IMO is that PNRA's price moves HAVE BEEN phenomenal. Doesn't necessarily mean one getting in the stock today won't be there for the next 'Big Kahuna move,' just the ODDS IMHO are against it. We'll see. Wish you luck (you'll need it). Good luck to all....
vj, you have been such a constant replier to those who buy PNRA or post of it's success that one would wonder if you are a paid basher. You seem to have a need to warn every one of them-Good Luck ! You'll need it pencilhead.
