    22mm one time payment

ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire -11/10/11)- Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVOL - News), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and IP carrier market, today announced it will distribute approximately $22.0 million in cash to stockholders in the form of a $2.00 per share one-time special dividend payable on January 3, 2012 to stockholders of record as of December 12, 2011.

The problem is roughly 55% of the shares HAD NO OWNER--so where is the cash? 2.00 to 4.8mm shares is 9.6mm not 22mm$$

    • You need to take Remedial Finance 101.You are making yourself sound totally stupid. The dividend was paid to ALL shareholders. The fact that YOU came along after the dividend was paid and did not get the cash return just means you liked the company as it was when you bought it and therefore should enjoy their earnings, growth and dividend from the time you got in. You DO realize you could have bought the stock for $.25 about 8 or 9 years ago, earned all of the cash dividends and still have a 25+ bagger. The fact that you didn't get in 9 years ago should not be begrudged by you and should not cast aspersions on a supportive shareholder. They have paid $4.25 (approx) in dividends to ALL shareholders over the past 2+ years.

    • chris...barry...? you both should really seek a financial advisor, if you don't have one already to manage your money, neither of you have a friggin' clue, I meannnnnn its embarrassing. At the very least get an edumacation before posting. Normally I wouldn't bother with the many e-trader dolts that appear on message boards but your comments are so devoid of understanding I felt compelled, my apologies.
PS: m2m is huuuuuuuge, as big as dsa is, it will be dwarfed in the future by m2m, of course by that time the co. will be sold on the "cheap" (maybe dbl todays sp) or taken private, for now, enjoy the ride and the divi..

    • What kind of idiot are you? 55% of the shares had no owner? Why kind of malarkey is that?

On the 9/30/11 balance sheet there were 11,072,498 shares outstanding - $2/share dividend = approximately $22 million.

Did you happen to sleep late on the day the wizard was handing out brains?
