and the reason is...they have 1 field that is one of their mainstay's, and they have decided to shut-in the entire play. Operational costs are deteriorating the production returns. There is more water than oil being produced so they decided to shut-in the field. When Enerplus's margins are more equitable, they may turn the field back on, but not at these current oil prices. If your "Long" on this company....Buy a case of beer...go to the backyard, and get hammered, and come Monday...Sell...Sell...Sell.
cannow where do you get your vact. Thei biggest field is Sleeping giant and it produces 14% of their daily BOE. Next largest is Bantry which produces 10% of daily BOE. Either one shut in would hurt but not to extent you mention. Also third and forth largest fields produces 3% of daily BOE each. Again please validate your statment as to which field it is.
