After hours action is ridiculous. Most likely a lot of stops, and tax selling going on right now. Although a near term buy-out looks to be out of the cards for now, they are getting hammered on that news alone. Everyone was hoping for a buy-out including myself. All-scripts isn't going anywhere and if they can just get management to execute they will be fine in 2013 and beyond.
Lets not forget they do have a stock repurchase program.
So you fire a guy who has sunk the company to 3yr lows, replace him with fresh blood, and it becomes a bad thing? I don't think so. Obviously this on slaught is do to everyone counting on a buy-out. Many price targets out there as high as $15 and as low as $12. All scripts is going know where but up from here.
Seee you at $10 taday!
The company had offers but looks like they did not accept the offers.
The company has new products and if they are received well, this stock may return to 20s in a year. Before that, it is possible Cerner or Oracle may buy this company on the cheap!
