Look at this as an opportunity to get more shares on the cheap !
Yes disappointing Fallon's CC yet again was a let down and that we are not moving up from here however if this is a long term play for you this not a worry in the least. Rev's continue to grow, DTN-X demand is strong margins continue to improve and big TIER 1 contracts are in the future ! Also with Ita's departure one has to wonder why she chose the date that she did. If INFN were to be acquired by a CISCO or Juniper, poor Ita would not be needed and certainly would not be part of any of those management teams ! Just another good possibility ! Come on Fallon let's bring a little more certainty to this picture !
Why would somebody as conservative and "real" as Tom Fallon go out on a limb regarding the "intermediate term" but not the near term?
Answer: Because he knows of a deal or deals that are close to closing, or that Infinera has a very high probability of getting, which will be game changers, but simply will not be reflected in Q4 revenue.
He is telling you to buy, buy, buy.
By "intermediate" does he mean Q2,Q3, or Q4 of next year? No. He's talking about Q1.
The smartest thing you can do is to buy incrementally into current price weakness.
Also, aside from any specific business deals looming on the horizon, in a cyclical market, intermediate term predictions have better prospects of being accurate than short term predictions will. In the medium term, the ups and downs get smoothed out.
went through ,scanned the transcripts a better or more well written script would have prevented the shelling this am.this is an ongoing issue.with better presentation and a more neutral set of guidences ,tamarak might have been right that this could be trading towards 20 but these prsentations have killed momentum
Being real is Tom Fallon's MO. Like it or not it's just the way he speaks and style of communication. In the long run over analyzing CCs and the way they are presented will drive to the meth lab!!! The numbers are what drive stocks up or down. So if you want to get technical blame Ita. She spit out the guidance for Q4.
