A Missouri House staffer allegedly left a loaded gun in a public restroom in the state Capitol last week, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
"According to a Capitol Police incident report, a Kahr CM9 9mm pistol - later claimed by House Speaker Tim Jones' (R) legislative assistant Dave Evans - was found on top of the toilet paper dispenser in a men's restroom in the Capitol basement Friday. The incident report states that the gun 'was fully loaded with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine.'"
Congress is the most disliked group to ever assemble in America. Can you blame a guy/girl for wanting to carry a gun? My advice would be to get a different job but I do understand that if you are passionate about your job, you aren't going to be just another victim of some terrorist group.
Now everyone wonders why gun control advocates want to see handgun ownership rstricted to law enforcement, security guards, and persons who work as bodyguards or do similar work which reuires packing heat.
Persons who show a need to carry a handgun in their work should be subject to extensive background checks, and they should lose the prviledge of carrying a handgun if they do somethng stupid and irresponsible like this.
