    Prospects of the Future

Management would be foolish to make public any estimates of future performance that is positive. If management publicly state that a certain drug will provide $x to the bottom line, they would be opening themselves and the company to lawsuits from investors if those estimates are not met. There is no rational reason to publicly provide positive estimates. On the other hand, if they state that profits will remain the same or drift lower and they are wrong (profits move up), there is no lawsuit risk.
