Could not even find a parking space at 2 of them. The one downtown even hired valet workers to park cars for $10. Looks like BBY is going to roll out a large new grouping of sales immediately following the 25th starting with the Galaxy Note 2. As suspected, this company is still making tons of cash, is wildly popular and not nearly in the dire straits as the media as drummed up. Glta
Same thing in Chicago NW Burbs and Milwaukee. Situation online not much different.
I am accumulating more at these levels as I have ZERO doubt this will pop after holiday sale results. I was shopping for years in BBY and I don't recall them ever (I'll repeat EVER) busy/packed even close as this. Their margins may be low, but their relevancy and net earnings are positive. They are not selling anything on loss.
In next year you should expect:
1) Taxes in more states for AMZN (if not in all of them), making shoppers go offline more.
2) CE prices and margins going up.
As a result of at least one of these two BBY will be making even more. GLTA.
That "parking lot" experience was the same at my local Best Buy here too. The store was full and there were lines at the checkout. I don't know what the sales figures were shaping up like but we'll probably know something about that next week.
