I own alot of BCE in my IRA (no with holding of Canadian taxes for IRA) but does anyone know if there is taxation withholding on personal accounts (non IRA) for american investors?
I believe that there is no tax withholding if the stock is held within an IRA for American investors.
If you fail the required tax for investing, your shares will be confiscated plus you will pay a HUGE FINE and face DEPORTATION!!
Canadian with hold for tax is 15 per cent which is claimable for tax credit on U.S. tax return. Bce is off the radar and is a consistent payer with potential dividend increases and good income stream with little Canadian communications competition.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I agree with the previous reply, other than the statement that BCE has little competition.
There are at least 3 other major telecommunications corp in Canada.
