Can Valeant crush ZLTQ? Like to see your opinion

conventional thinking is that with all other aesthetic related products which Valeant has, adding SLTM energy products, will crush ZLTQ and the others (ELOS, CTUR, CYNO etc) because Valeant can practically give the energy devices away to lock in multi year contract for all their other offering, such as Dysport, Obaagi, and others. Like to see your opinion on this subject.

    • ...I posted elsewhere that VRX, given its size, will be able to dominate the body sculpting market if they wish to...however, their products are more dermatological and I can't help but think that they may sell or otherwise dispose of SLTM's body sculpting stuff...ELOS is just a joke and doesn't even merit consideration -- although in this market, that doesn't seem to matter much...

...CYNO, on the other hand, would be a good candidate for a buyer of SLTM's body sculpting division since it fits with what they already offer...I already took some of my ZLTQ profit and initiated a position in CYNO because, regardless of VRX's final outcome, their buyout of SLTM represented a "stamp of approval" which suggests they recognize the potential for the aesthetics market...

      • the above post is about a dumb as ive seen in a long time. VRX has been clamoring now for some time to get into THE DEVICE end of the Aesthetics market. Do people on this board actually just take wild "guesses?" SLTM acquisition is primarily to get into the device end. but wait, they will now sell those devices because they dont want in? Learn the segment man.

        Sentiment: Strong Sell
