Any thoughts as to why the stock has been moving up on fairly strong volume the last week? I would think that this is an all or nothing scenario with respect to the final FDA approval for their one remaining drug review. If it is ultimately given approval then the price will move up sharply. If it fails to win approval then the price will plummet. But at this stage it would seem that there is no catalyst to move the stock price in either direction. Your thoughts?
The benefits seem to strongly outweigh the current treatment with Vanco for this infection. My wife is an ICU nurse and originally told me that if the results were positive compared to Vanco she felt that all hospitals and nursing homes would eventually switch to this as the preferred treatment. Yes, the company needs to gain approval, however, the future would become very bright for OPTR once they receive the FDA's blessing. As a firm believer that the fundamentals follow the technicals it looks as if the smart money is starting to place its bets, coupled with a fair amount of short interest, the risk reward currently seems to be forecasting a continued uptrend with possibly decent returns. GL going forward.
