I was listening to CNBC today and they were talking about how Samsung is now the leader in the smartphone arena with Apple falling to second. They also mentioned that the new Samsung Galaxy phone will be marketed heavily to Enterprises, with security being a big selling point. Jim McCubbin mentioned at the Noble presentation that they will be coupling with a major international player this year to forge inroads for Widepoint's products. I see that John Atkinson was formerly employed at Samsung. It's a reach to suggest that Widepoint could/would/should ally themselves with Samsung, but a nice fantasy none the less. It's going to be very interesting to learn of Widepoint's future partnering efforts. Still waiting patiently for our stock to finally break out.
Certainly worth pondering........thanks for the connection.... Iit can't hurt...and appears he certainly knows the business, and it is an in demand business... wish him the best.
Looking forward to the 10K to get an idea as to what is going on.. but as noted, suspect it will not appear until Mar 29...
"As Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Atkinson will be responsible for the sales and marketing management of WidePoint's overall product and services offerings. He has held positions at Lenovo, WinMagic, IdentiPhi, Gieseche & Devrient, Gemplus, Samsung, and Hitachi."
Good thinking Phil. A Partnership with Samsung considering Atkinson's past relationship could be a real possibility. If not a partnership, if Samsung would just use ORC's Identity security features would be a big win.
I really believe that Widepoints biggest asset is ORC and it is just a matter of time before it's recognized in the cyber security area for that.
