The hedge fund builds up its short position while the stock is rising. Then when it feels the time is right, they dump 25% of their position at the market all at once--like today. This scares the longs and the hope is they start selling. The stock declines and they cover the short. It is stock manipulation. It is legal but just barely. Don't be fooled. The stock is going up because the fundamentals are strong.
Poorly conceived by Bears. Too little volume on UFPT to start a panic. The only big trade in the last 3 months was the one about half an hour ago - about 200K+ shares sold at once. That's about 6X avg daily volume over last 90 days.
