They Fired CEO? He Co-Founded Groupon? He isn't the problem......

This company cannot sustain growth if they don't change with the times. New blood better come up with a new business model, as the old way of selling Groupon's are growing stale and every city has 10-15 sites that mimic them on a local basis. local daily deals take less profit from perspective clients. Thus make selling a Groupon even harder and less profitable. I'm not a basher just know this type business and know its getting harder and harder for them to sell deals and make profit when tons of other small companies are crawling out of the woodwork. Truly a SHORT SELLERS DREAM STOCK no ones going to BUY out Groupon people when they can pick it up for practically pennies on the dollar in the next couple years?

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • They will sustain growth, maybe not with the daily deals but GRPN is thinking much bigger. If you do the homework and research their recent acquisitions you will know that these will set them up to be able to expand into many markets, and into retailing. I have a feeling what their next move will be and if I am right and when it is announced this companys stock price will double. You are right Mason was never the problem I think his moves were wise. But if Wall Street wishes it they get it, for instance the bailouts and what was done to Elliot Spitzer. This is a king with no name but equally impossible to remove. I could be wrong but we will wait and see.

    • Like they say, all Marketing is local and Groupon can't compete with the local players when they want 50%

    • DEAD Cat Bounce off of last weeks earnings! Also off of CEO Departure, This craters next week t can't sustain what shareholders need it to do! Sell on the bounce or be backwards FOREVER!
