I agree with you that dubya would have been excoriated AFTER his Iraq (foolish) enterprise. They were all on board with the bs and he squandered blood and treasure. Once bitten, twice shy...so no go for Dubya.
Obama on the other hand:
1. Bin Laden and many top Al Qaeda top brass - executed with Bin Laden being a covert military action
2. Libya - Surgical strikes with tail-end support to extract and eliminate Qaddafi. (I agree that Benghazi was a mess with inadequate security for Embassies. BTW, we have to pull out of the entire middle east to guarantee security)
3. Iraq - Responsible exit after hand-off to local authority
4. Afghanistan - Responsible draw-down
I think there is a track record here of successful military intervention and withdrawal. What do you think? Let me guess, you will disagree on everything.
Those actions had objectives that served strategic military purposes. What is our objective in Syria? What is the strategic purpose? How will launching missiles into Syria serve that purpose? We seem to be retaliating for the sake of retaliation.
