Yesterday, INO increased from 75 to 87 Institutional Investors . Net Institutional holdings rose from 28,013,256
shares to 35,074,304 shares . Nasdaq website is the source of this information
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Regardless of the shorting and sector rotation that's occurred over the past couple of months,.. I'm *really* encouraged to see the significant uptick in institutional investment in Inovio!
I'm thinking that a lot of those institutional shares won't be easily pried away from them like they were from the retail investors....
Although I needed to sell a few shares to pay for my daughter's wedding,.. I'm buying shares every month!
Congrats to you and your daughter, Mark!
I have to wonder how many more shares the institutional investors bought because of the sector rotation. They sure got a discount price over the last 2 weeks.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Growing numbers, visceraljunket, are always good. Thanks. My table says the following surge during the past 2 weeks. Not bad considering the price was below $5 or $10. Maybe they will comment about the institutional ownerships numbers during the SHM this coming Thursday.
Date-----Total shares held------% Inst. Ownership-----PPS
I would disagree with your 28mil number, as that # was taken from a partial reporting of shrs. Even the 35.074 mil number could change a bit as a few more funds report in later.
To be more clear the reported holdings as of Mar 31 are now at 35,074,304, versus only 17,460,564 as of 12/31/13 and versus only 7,610,495 as of 9/30/13
(This data is from the same Nasdaw site, I happend to of saved the 12/31 numbers and the 9/30 numbers are measured from taking the change in shr amounts).
So the fund holdings have gone from ~3.7% of shrs outstanding on 9/30/13 up to ~8.3% of outstanding shrs as of 12/31/13 to ~14.6% as of 3/31/14. Or you could say the shrs have doubled each of the last two quarters. Depending on when reported, if the VGX3100 data is positive I wouldn't be suprised to see the numbers double again.
Used outstandings shrs of 207,620,037 for 9/30/13 (per B424B5 filing)
and 210.3 mil shrs as of 12/31 per March 17th SEC filing, and 240.4 mil estimate for 3/31.
Knowing there were 240,629,816 as of 5/2/14 per 10Q and there were 240,146,343 as of 3/14/14 per DEF14A.
jerrycurls... my original conclusion of you being a chameleon was correct..... regardless of when you reverse your position and start spouting your affirmations of the company... you'll forever be in my 'Ignore' list!
