the company owns 157 restaurants...If you divide the restaurant .count by the stock's market cap you get a value per unit of only $1.1 million--------that barely pays for the kitchen, dining room ,HVAC, pot and pans, etc.....not even including the structure or land.... That does not include the company's 18 contract service locations or its 124 fuddruckers that are franchised... The bottom line is this stock is dirt cheap and subject to Merger and acquisition activity either by a competitor or a Private equity firm.
It is dirt cheap, book value $6.12. Equity has been increasing, earnings increasing, opening more stores, etc. However I don't believe this is a candidate for a takeover. The Pappas' own 30% and would not sell, there in it for the long haul.
