Good God people. I didn't say they were allowed to say something and were just hiding things, I just said as long as management is quiet, it's going to flounder. Until the SEC approves the spinoff, management is going to be quiet because they have nothing to say and therefore, the stock will be on a rollercoaster ride for awhile. Use your brain, read in between the lines and fill in the gaps. It's not hard.
GoGo, maybe they are not allowed to comment within a specific period of time before the split occurs. I am not sure how "quiet periods" work for spin offs but maybe someone else knows the specifics. In any event what could they really say? They can't speak for the SEC and everyone already knows at least one reason that there hasn't been a spin off is because there hasn't been approval.
Let's see where we are a month after the spin off is announced. By the way the projected dividend is .18 higher than the present one. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual dividend is .20 higher as a little thanks for being patient gift. After all management has been busy since the initial announcement. GL.
