Over the last 15 years I have made some great picks and some not so great picks. I recently revisited all of the NOT so great picks. Keep in mind that almost every one of the stocks I`ve ever purchased has had a minimum yield of 2.5 percent. With the exception of one stock ELNK every one of my NOT so great picks had all gained a minimum of 19% two had capital appreciation of over 150%. So I guess my point is I have learned that since I`m not smart enough nor quick enough to day trade I`ll have to learn to hold on to stocks even though it`s downright scary at times. The reason I go for the decent yielders is soley for the purpose of not holding dead money while waiting for better days. I`d hold on to MT until hell freezes over,it will recover and I wouldn`t care if it took until 2020.I`m not setting the world on fire with my portfolio however I haven`t had a negative year in eleven years but in 2008 I was up only $974.65 but not a loss.
