Really? And this is a bad thing? I don't hink so. Halting the stock is a great idea. I believe the selling is overdone and the company needs to issue additional information BEFORE trading resumes. Will this happen? I do not know. I seems management has been making irrational decisions lately. I still believe the value of this company is certainly worth the current price but there are always "chicken little..the sky is falling" traders (not investors) who will certainly exit. The prudent investor will hold therefore halted trading is not a problem.
Yes. An indefinite halt on the DAY FOLLOWING bad news is always a bad sign. Had they been able to secure the refinancing at less than 8.5 that would have been the GOOD news. They now have to admit that no lender was willing to go lower than that unheard of interest rate because of the pronounced risk that this company is not going to be around to be able to retire the debt.
