I didn't post last week either because my feelings were hurt by gloomy_russian as he/she critized my comments on "Technical Analysis" and likewise the forecast I made using TA which was described as being too simplictic. My tears have since dried up and I'll refrain in future of expressing any views based upon my inferior understanding of TA. It sure would be nice if someone like gloomy_russian would apprise us all on occasion as to what the technical outlook is. This might begin with where the overall market is based upon the "Elliot Rolling Wave Theory", and then focus down to the more DIO specifics: like what is the accumulation / distribution rating signaling to us, what is the stochastic oscillator signaling as well as the 50-Day / 200-Day Moving Averages. We've got some good fundamental investors on this board pouring over the company's financials and all associated ratios but we lack someone with good comprehensive insight into the technicals. Will a true Technical Analyst please come forward? If not I'll have to rely on simple fundamentals which led me to purchasing DIO beginning on 7/30/98 at prices of 6.5, 6, 5.25, 5.125, 5, 4.25, 4.125 and finally 3.875. The average price on my position is around 5.10. If only I could become more technically astute.
For such market, such thin volume, how can someone decide to buy or sell DIO?
I bought DIO just because of great earning future, great company, great growth. That's it.
Made some money on IRF, I bought it around 40, then it fell to 30, averaged down, because I know it's a great company. Sold out today, and have plenty of cash in hand. Continue to buy DIO to average up.
