Most mutual funds do the same thing. They buy hundreds of companies in different industries and then tell you how great they are doing while charging you for it. They try to make you think you're safe, but look at how they performed in rough times. Terrible losses for retirees. Problem is most people don't have the time to really study so they go to mutual funds or index funds. On the other hand, with more money you're forced into more companies ie not sure if you could buy $100 million of BRKR on the open market. If you did, you would have over 5% and be forced to report purchases, sales, etc. Everyone would know what you are doing. I don't think I'll ever have that problem!
Bought more today at $7.94....just believe the price is too low when compared to WAT & TMO, plus I believe their equipment is top notch with a great future. The sellers are half brothers and stepmother to Frank & Joerg Laukien(non-sellers)....looks to me like their may be some family disagreements. All of this is pure conjecture on my part, but for what it's worth I have more than 50% of my assets in BRKR and believe strongly in Frank's ability and honesty....still I could be wrong. Best wishes to all the shareholders...we'll need them!
