This board is dead considering this stock is almost payying a 13% dividend. We should be shouting from the rooftops how great it is. Am I missing something, cause I love this company? Hello Hello!!
I have not learned the difference between automatic, direct, & indirect purchases, but I was curious about the large move on stock price today & noticed insider transactions in Jan. & Feb. of 2012, also noticed Joe Mosaud still owns shares even though he mysteriosly stepped down from CEO position, company has not been the same since this happened. I hope it is possible for us to see 18.00 dollar share price again. I bought in at 10.16 a share in 01/20/09 & still holding.
Why do the say that the "company has not been the same since" Massoud left? It's true that the market reacted negatively to his absence, but as far as I can see the company carries on in exactly the same way.
Yes, it would be nice to hear more information about the Joe M. situation. I am long on CODI for a portion of my portfolio. May trim if I see another 10-20% rise from current levels.
Yardbird, I have to apologize to you, it seems to me you are dedicated to this Co. as all stock owners should be. I went to investor relations and found Offenburg is doing a good job as CEO, maybe I should put Joe M. in the past, I hope my previous message has done no harm, especially to anyone who might be considering investing in this Co. I will be watching more closely & maybe consider adding more shares. GLTA
CODI is small down version of Bershire with a divvy.
As you mentions, great company to own when market goes higher, capital appreciation follows.
However, when market corrects, so does CODI.
Good time to buy 11-13 and should sell when it heads to 17-18. Unless, you want to hold to collect the divvy and care not of stock price direction.
