2) you must not have been reading the REIT risk articles. it's my opinion that MPW is not like other REITs, but the market - as some have pointed out here - does not understand it. MPW has focused on properties that are of great need with the aging of the population, but not as residences; the facilities the company owns FACILITATE CARE, imo making MPW a terrific LONG TERM holding. the yield is very attractive, and has been for quite some time. dips are going to occur, and you have be tolerant of market risk...wherever you invest.
well said, lori. I have a cost of about 9....sold half several months ago.....and am thinking about adding in here. Taking note of fact it's up today on an otherwise #$%$ day. But yeah, market could easily take it lower from here.....but I don't think so.
