You've got to be kidding me. You actually think I am going to post my trading statement on a yahoo message board? Just look at the trades day one and you'll see short trades. If you are not able to short, you need a new broker or learn how to sell short.

    • InvestmentGuru, you most certainly have the habit of embellishing things and have been called out by others.

I have a brokerage account with Schwab as well and was closely monitoring SPMD on its first day of trading (since I acquired almost 8,000 shares thru the bonds).

This stock was NOT eligible to be shorted on its first day of trading and I don't believe its eligible to be shorted even now.

The only way the stock could have been sold short is if you sold the stock with the promise to deliver the shares by the settlement date.

Closing out your short position would not have qualified and if you shorted in this manner, it is most certainly an SEC trading violation.

Therefore, I'm not sure I believe what you're saying and remember I came to your defense when those JAVA stalkers harrassed you on the Idearc message board.

      • So, you now see Investmentguru for the fool that he is. Funny how he never posts on the Java board any longer. For the longest time all he did was post that the made 1.3 mill shorting Sun, that the Oracle/Sun deal would never happen, that Sun would be bankrupt by the end of (last) summer on and on and on. He has done the same on other boards. My guess is that he is a 40ish something still living in his parents basement.
