Hey Bashers! How 'Bout These Facts...

No less than 12 times, in the past 6 months missjohn has insisted that BIOL needs to achieve what he calls "exponential" growth in sales in order to qualify as a legitimate company. Come along for our one on one discussion with this investing guru as he explains this outrageous goal.

    missjohn:
"Exponential growth, in my simple world, would mean 10% one quarter, 15% the next quarter, 25% the next, etc. Or, thinking yearly, 50% one year 75% the next year 125% the next year. Growth that is accelerating not slowing from prior quarters or years. Come on COW growth to get excited about! Like truly great companies exhibit."

    Cowbell:
"I represented your quarterly figures of 10% growth leading to 15% growth, then 25% growth as function starting with 17 million(avg quarterly revenue on 68 M) and 10% growth with the first period growth differential of 5%, and it looks like this:

Quarterly growth = (.1+(.05 x (2^n)-1))+1 where n=number of quarters in time frame. The compounding effect on the reported revenues is easier when the previous equation is plugged in to a spread sheet.

    • The first year doesn't get too crazy it only requires a 39M revenue for the last quarter.
    • By the end of the 8th quarter it gets a little demanding at 6 Billion
    • In less than three years the quarterly revenue would be seven times the national debt, weighing in at $116.68 trillion!
    • At the end of a five year period using your exponential growth model, BIOL's last quarter would have to be... $10,130,987,330,285,711,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 (27 zeros)"

    missjohn:
"Certainly over an extended period you are correct."

    Cowbell:
Question to missjohn...You said exponential growth shuold be considered yearly, and even supplied the values to generate the formula, nobody solicited your opinion any of the 12 times you put it out there. If 2 years ending with a 6 Billion Qtr, is too "extended", then how many years would you like to apply the facts to your "thesis"?

Just want to point out the kind of due diligence our full-of-hot-air basher likes to do; next time he talks down to you for DD just point him here.

    • Just livin the dream out there, aren't you cowbell. You bought BIOL several times on the way down from 6 bucks, but everythings just fabulous and going according to your plan, isn't it? Those covered calls gotcha covered or whatever. Also, we can all see that those evil shorts and mischievous bashers are just playing right into your hooves! So while your busy with your exponential growth calculator, chew your cud a little on this fact. Your holding onto a company that won't report making any money this year. That ain't much good for the stock, and things could soon get much worse. So, I see yesterday the fair maiden wised up and bailed out of BIOL. Your rusty tool has gone soft and disappeared. I heard that the old man RT was wheeled off a while ago. He was taken to the home for the bioly insane. Don't end up like him meatballs. Or like that fox that keeps chasing his tail. The sign for hope can be found in the word SELL. You can easily access this on a drop down menu in your etrade account. I wouldn't worry. I'm sure that you can up with a tax scheme that you can use to recoup your losses on your 2013 return.

Ooops someone just blew his cover. lol Your buffoonery is such that you don't even know you're a buffoon. Listen jr., Retiredtechie "RT" made his most recent post a month before your alias appeared. Don't you find it odd that the "new guy" on the scene would pick up someone else's old grudge?

Just because you struggle with math, doesn't mean the rest of us should feel bad for being smarter than you. It's that same inability to put two and two together that demands you will always be looking for, but never find, a ten bagger ;) Get it? You also call yourself lookingforatenbagger; it's a play on words. Try to keep up, they're not as funny when I have to explain the jokes.

    • Why not discuss Biolase's atributes and why you beleive it isn't goign to die a slow death in the $2s.

      Sentiment: Hold

For the same reason that I believe the sun will come up tomorrow, I don't need a reason to believe something so basic, neither the sun, nor BIOL are dying any time soon. The truth is that there's a better chance that I will not rise tomorrow, and I'm healthy.

If you disagree that's ok, but you should support your own thesis and stop asking others to do the work for you. If you feel it's doomed then you must explain your thesis and the board will be happy to dissect your argument. I'm surprisingly open to other points of view despite having a sharp witted tongue ;) I keep waiting for you to show me something I can use. My brain never shuts down, I stare at the ceiling over my bed thinking about all this, and thousand other things considered too boring by others, it would be nice if you could contribute to that process with something meaningful.

Be basher, I'm fine with that, just be better at it than you are. Because as it stands, I could basher better than you, it's part of my process to judge my own thesis, and as of yet, I'm doing all the work to bash my own logic, maybe you could pick up the pace a little?
