    Hurrican Services...

    As a shareholder and person whose power has been down for a week, a comment is warranted. There is no question that ConEd like every utility in a disaster area has quite a challenge. They are doing the best that could be expected. We're in Westchester County NY (Rye). Tree damage on power lines has been unbelievable. Our power was out for 6 1/2 days, but again, no complaints. Here is my problem, the ConEd website has not been keeping up to date with timely status reports. Four days ago, they posted that our area would have power restored at 5PM that night. We left the house to get some food and happened to come back when a ConEd car was parked on our corner. We asked what time power would come on tonight and he laughed. He said not until next week! For the next five days, the website had totally inaccurate information about our area as well as incredibly bad status reports. I promise you that if I MADE UP a status report it would have been more kidding.

    So here is the corker, our power was restored yesterday at about 2PM. We found out by calling our telephone and then a neighbor. 24 hours late, I just received a phone call that our power has been restored! A day later! Pathetic.
