Diamond Foods, Inc. Message Board

Did Wolford fail to make a deal?

To me this is sort of negative news today. I think fair value is closer to around where we are at, barring any deal. I sold the spike today for a nice gain from the $20s. I could be wrong, but its a nice cash nevertheless. Too many other great bargains starting to appear, without the associated drama.

    • So you listen to the yhoo's on the board scream buyout like they are sitting in Diamond Board talking about it.. Then because they want to right the ship you sell? Whatever floats your boat your money.. These boards can be good and bad if you get caught up in the hype and pain..

      • Not at all. And I made about 15% off this trade during the time of a huge market selloff.

Hey, you never know, it could still be bought out.

From a valuation perspective (not broken up), its not as cheap as you think. The value would be closer to high 20s, and rightly discounted for risk to right about today's closing price.

There are alot of cheap consumer growth stocks, some with much better stories (GMCR and SKUL to name a couple).

This may break 25, but I would not hold past that. I may get long again on a re-test of the $20s.
