I haven't spoken with them personally but have
heard from 2 different sources that have spoken with
Mr. Fairley at MSC that they were just waiting on
some "scaled-up" materials from REFR and the
impression my friend has was that "it would not take very
long to coat the SPD films once they had these
Testing on a Weather-O-Meter should take no more than a
month. Also, REFR has developed some internal tests for
UV stability which gives them preliminary litmus
test type results in a few hours, so they are in a
position to predict with some degree of confidence whether
a particular particle will be very durable and pass
the extended weathering tests.
Last I heard
about company was that they met last week with one of
their outside scale-up manufacturers and things are
going very well and that they couldn't "share specifics
Hope this helps,
Found this through Bob Acker. Long time holder.
Friend who follows charts e-mailed me the
"TC2000 indicators are showing REFR has had strong
accumulation during the past weeks."
BTW "shorts" ARE
the reason. Well-known fact among us who watch, but
they are trying hard to cover. Short Interest down
40,000. They still have over 400,000 to go with stock at
its lows and volume drying up. Can't be sleeping too
Making the educational system in Houston
responsible for my ignorance would be like blaming the
"shorts" for this stock performance: a pitiful excuse!
Thanks anyhow for offering it. In return, I'll share
with you some learning from the street I grew up in,
be wise enough and don't ask pertinent questions
like you do. They're not well received and could put
you in trouble.
Do you mean a BIG DOG or a dog
with an attitude?(Chihuahua)!
See you around.
As mentioned there are some techs that compete
with SPD tech, however the very foundation of these is
weak. You can only take the existing techs so far thats
why improvments that have been made are only minute.
As far as I know this is the case for all the techs
that are out.For a new tech to start now it would take
a fortune not to mention the time. It seems to me
REFR has invented the WHEEL of the glass industry! The
very foundation of the tech is superior.
I've been hanging tight since 1990,
how about you? We are just starting to see the first
part of the wave. For us long time investors this is
just something we all have predicted, and now you can
Enjoy the Ride!!
How about that Big Doggie?
Do they have schools in Houston???? Did you learn
to read boy?? Do you know ANYTHING about SPD???? DO
you KNOW WHAT BLACK PARTICLES mean?
What rock did YOU crawl out from under??? If Dixon is
right and y'all are Philistines then you must be the
Do you know what REFR is doing? Evidently I've
entered some black hole time warp where people haven't
heard the news. Tell me did ANY of you go to the glass
conference in '97? Did you see the action???? Do you have
any idea HOW BIG THE MARKET IS? and you're WORRIED
Is there anyone here that
has talked with Material Sciences. I'm waiting to
hear how testing is going. If someone has that
information lemme know. I'm trying to determine the time
frame for production. I figure particle testing for
large runs will take 3-4 months. This is information I
came here to find. Don't need a link to every glass
manufacturer in the world---no one's got anything that'll
touch this puppy.
Hey CL144 - This is already a
BIG DOG in the industry buzz. You hang tight, man.
