You'd think amsc was Dorothy stuck in a nightmare. I guess Sinovel is like the wicked witch, and the governor of Washington is the Wizard of OZ, who, (if you can just reach him) promises to solve all your problems. Meanwhile, amsc's home state of Massachusetts is attempting to position itself to be the center of a game-changing offshore development. Right in Devens' backyard.
Sadly, amsc is very unlikely to participate in U.S. offshore in any meaningful way. So, yea, why not imagine a future in Washington state?
Save money thru consolidating your activiities in one location? I wonder how much would be offset by moving costs and paying off lease commitments in Wisconsin? What about your leased facilities in China and Austria?
One good thing though: Pay off the $10m term loan, Devins is no longer mortgaged, it is owned by the company. There is value in that property.
I agree bdmacg, barrygeo adds a lot to the discussion quite often, but it the extreme passive agressive hostility toward amsc, covered up by the thin "good luck" salutation, that he almost always displays that is so irksome to me.
